Base
We are based at the Burlington Community Boathouse in Burlington,
Vermont. The Boathouse is part of Burlington's municipal marina
facility. The Boathouse is a replica of the Lake Champlain
Yacht Club which once stood at the same site in the early
1800s. It's easy to spot from both land and water alike by
it's distinguishing red roof. Restrooms, showers and a snack
bar are located inside for the convenience of boaters.
The Boathouse is located four blocks from our renowned downtown
area, 1997 national recipient of "The Great American
Main Street Award". It's home to many restaurants, bars,
cafes, shops, boutiques, movie theatres, markets, etc. The
"Marketplace" is often filled with musicians, magicians
and other entertainment. Visitors will want to save some time
to see this part of Burlington.
We are a short drive (5-10 min.) to the nearest large liquor
store and supermarkets, and airport.
We are one of several concessions at the Boathouse, although
we are the only sailboat charterer. Our neighbors are the
cruise boat "Spirit of Ethan Allen", the Whistling
Man Schooner Company' s sloop "Friendship", "Champ"
Fishing Charters and Whitecaps Cafe & Bar. Parking is
available in any of the nearby municipal lots, at very reasonable
rate. If you require overnight parking, call ahead for directions
and to make arrangements.
